Episode 05: The Beautiful West

Nothing is like the west coast of Norway. In this episode Arne, Frida and Stig experience what the region can offer when it comes to both hospitality and food. Frida meets up with a local chef in Ålesund and he prepares a beautiful fish dish in the middle of town. Arne and Stig visit an interesting couple where they get a complete tasting menu packed with all the region’s traditional delicacies.

Get to the unique and tasty restaurant Kami on the island Skotholmen by a fast boat ride from Ålesund or Storfjord Hotel, or even by helicopter. Chef Magnus meets you at the dock and works his magic with freshly caught brown crab, served in the boathouse from the mid-1800s. This is art of cooking mixed with modern design in historical surroundings at it’s best.
