
Episode 04: Cod from Lofoten
In today’s episode Arne brings the team to Lofoten, the string of islands that stretch out into the North Atlantic. Here, cod is king and the fish can be served in many ways, as the famous dried and reconstituted version or in a fishburger. At Holmen Culinary Resort, both Frida and Stig are inspired by the flavors from the sea.

On these southbound voyages, we enter the wild, idyllic Lofoten Islands during the day. Lofoten is all about the cod fish. The arctic cod comes once a year to spawn in this wonderful archipelago. The rich cod fisheries are the reason why people settled here some thousand years ago. And that is why Lofoten has so many historic and beautiful villages tucked in between the wild mountains, that rises up from the ocean in a long row stretching far out into the Norwegian Sea.
